The Mission Of The Pearl Projects

12 Projects – Same Mission – Different Angles

The mission :

The Pearl Projects  create Opportunities and resources for women to gather together, to learn more about God, and to serve the community, together.
We believe that these things happen best through Friendship & Story.

We like to think of Discipleship as Relational Leadership because we believe that it is through the context of relationships that our growth and maturity as followers of Jesus deepens and expands.

The heartbeat of The Pearl Projects is that women would enjoy occasions for Friendship + Story while pursuing their relationship with Jesus together.

In order to nurture the quality of our relationships with God and with others, The Pearl Projects will offer events, resources, mentorship, and various occasions to gather together with other women in your area.

These organizational occasions will be things like:
A monthly Dinner Club, Small Group Studies, Book Clubs, Weekend Retreats, E-Courses, Seminars/ Teaching, The PearlCast (our Podcast Channel) and other various opportunities to create a discipleship-rich environment in our homes and communities.*

Through the context of these gatherings, women will have the ability to be known, to be heard, and to pour into each other’s lives. This life-on-life approach is how we believe that hearts and lives are genuinely changed.

Walking alongside of each other and serving each other in love and tenderness is the Leadership model of the Bible

Through these gatherings, events, and teachings, women will have the opportunity to grow in their faith, to be vulnerable with each other, to dissect ideas, to discuss their doubts and difficulties, to ask for prayer, and to support & encourage each other to live in their fullest effectiveness for the Kingdom of God.

Discipleship is simply walking through life together, and pointing each other back to the goodness of God. Wherever you are at in the spectrum of your faith journey, you are qualified to lead and disciple others. You were made for this!

Jesus lived. He taught. He died. He rose again. He gave us The Spirit of God.
Then He said,

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

John 17:19-20 (The Great Commission)

Specifics of the Projects

1)Supporting women in cultivating a discipleship-rich environment in their spheres of influence whether in the home, community, or in the workplace. This is as simple as encouraging women to be brave and courageous to share their stories of how God has shown up for them in the narrative of their life.* #RedeemYourStory

2)Mentoring/partnering with the women in identifying their individual identity and calling.

3)Empowering women to connect theirworkwith God’swork.
Whether you are a woman who works inside or outside of the home, your work is a meaningful opportunity to partner with God in His work for a flourishing world.

*We create Shalom (Hebrew for “wholeness”) through our work when we do every.thing to the glory of God. That is worship. While practicing this idea of Shalom in our work, we are partnering with God to bring His vision of the Kingdom of God to earth through our day-to-day lives. Our work is deeply meaningful in the eyes of God, and the unseen tasks we perform have incredible significance with an eternal perspective.

*The Pearl Projectoffers support for this in terms of resources for helping women to develop a Biblical worldview for their particular vocation. Whether you’re a stay at home mother or a District Attorney, God has something to say about your role.

As Dallas Willard said, “You need to figure out what Jesus thinks about your discipline.”

4)Facilitating a deeper understanding of our worth and value in the eyes of God. This  vision of who we are and who we are becoming has all sorts of implications for our emotional health and our spiritual enrichment.
Opportunity will be given for women to pursue a deeper sense of personal wholeness by looking inside of the self through the lens of scripture, and discovering how God works real, liberating change when you live from the inside out.

5)The Pearl Projectwill offer resources to help followers of Jesus to be able to effectively engage with their non-beliving communities. The emphasis here will be encouraging women to begin developing a robust Biblical Worldview that speaks to all areas of life, as an opportunity to enrich their Christian scholarship and the life of the mind.
